New aspects are also available: shapes, note durations and step sequence values. With the "Wave Sequencing 2.0" method, timing, sample order and melody can be influenced independently of one another. However, some musicians wished for more variety in the form of organic and unpredictable variations rather than dutiful repetitions. This made it possible to create exciting patterns that could be repeated endlessly if necessary. With the Wavestation, each step of a wave sequence had a duration, a sample, and a pitch. All this in a compact body with 37 full-size keys, making this synth the indispensable source of inspiration on musical explorations. His eclectic influences include modular synthesizers, groove boxes, and algorithm-based compositions. Today, KORG introduces the next level in digital synthesis: the wavestate.
